EVENTS LAST WEEK
Kel’s lecture on Australian nature went down a storm with the three students that attended. However, they kind of hijacked it and turned it into a lecture on how to get to Australia and what to do when you are there. Well done guys!
The monthly Kids Club also went well, with five children attending for the usual fun and games. This wasn’t just a walk in the park though, with the kid’s practising their English with food and numbers!
Gosia’s Travel Club was another success, with a few students attending to discuss all aspects of travel, and to talk about where in the world people had been. I wish I had been there, all this talk of seeing the world makes me want to go and see what all the fuss is about! I find myself watching my only English TV channel (the Travel Channel) even more now!

Kids Say the Funniest Things
- In the middle of the 18th century, all the morons (stupid people - should be "Mormons") moved to Utah.
- Syntax (“syntax” means “word order”) is all the money collected at the church from sinners.
- Water is composed of two gins. Oxygin and Hydrogin. Oxygin is pure gin. Hydrogin is gin and water.
- The people who followed the lord were called the twelve opossums. (A possum is an animal.)
- When a person gets kissed for the first time, they fall down and they don't get up for at least an hour
- The four seasons are salt, pepper, mustard, and vinegar.
- The word “trousers” is an uncommon noun because it is singular at the top and plural at the bottom.
- The future of ''I give'' is ''I take.''
- Twenty-three is the best age because you know the person FOREVER by then.
- The Magna Carta provided that no free men should be hanged twice for the same offence."
That’s all for this week, take care and see you next time!
